Lives changed by Gonstead Chiropractic care
We believe people's lives could be changed throughout Gonstead Chiropractic care and that is why we do what we do and how we do it.
Chiropractic means "done by hands". Chiropractic is a holistic- vitalistic approach based upon the principles the central nervous system which is made by the brain and spinal cord controls every cell and function of the body, and the spine protects it.
The aim of a trained Chiropractor is to analyse the spine to localise a vertebra subluxation. This vertebra subluxation may be the cause of interference in the communication within the brain and the rest of the body which eventually may lead to pain, functional problems and/or a disease.
The Gonstead System of Chiropractic applies a specific protocol including Philosophical and bio-mechanics principles to examine the spine and to localise the vertebra subluxation. The examination of the spine includes and it is not limited to a thermography instrument called "Nervoscope", visual analysis of the spine plus static and motion palpation of the spine, and often includes the analysis of full spine radiography. Once the vertebra subluxation is localised, a specific, gentle and safe manual adjustment is then delivered to remove the vertebra causing nerve interference. The adjustment aims to restore the proper communication within the brain and the body and ultimately, allowing the body to work at its best possible level of functionality and to heal itself.
